Call for Nominations: 2026 Global Citizen Award

The Global Citizen Award 2026 is now open for nominations. Henley & Partners, the international residence and citizenship planning firm, together with the Swiss non‑profit Andan Foundation, will select a laureate who has demonstrated a measurable impact on vulnerable groups, especially in migration‑related contexts.

Award overview

  • Purpose – Recognises individuals whose work addresses global challenges that cross national borders and cannot be solved by a single country.
  • Eligibility – Open worldwide to anyone whose activities have a direct link to the issues they aim to affect, with an emphasis on vision, courage, innovation and contributions to a more just, peaceful, connected and tolerant world.
  • Selection – Determined by a majority vote of an independent committee of experts.
  • Prize package
    • A bespoke sculptural medal designed by Italian artist Antonio Nocera.
    • A certificate signed by the Chairman of the Global Citizen Award Committee.
    • USD 20,000 to support the winner’s humanitarian projects.
    • One‑year partnership with Henley & Partners, leveraging its network of more than 70 offices to raise awareness and assist the selected project.

  • Diep Vuong – Co‑founder and President of the Pacific Links Foundation, recognized for campaigning against human‑trafficking in Southeast Asia.
  • Prof. Dr Padraig O’Malley – Honoured for conflict‑resolution and reconciliation work in Northern Ireland, South Africa and Iraq.
  • Zannah Bukar Mustapha – Acknowledged for supporting children and widows affected by insurgency in north‑eastern Nigeria.
  • Mohamed Nasheed – Former President of the Maldives and Secretary‑General of the Climate Vulnerable Forum, noted for human‑rights activism and climate advocacy.
  • Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis – 2025 laureate for advancing public law, legal education, institutional reform and access to justice in fragile democracies.
