Newfoundland and Labrador issued 108 invitations in its June 10, 2026 provincial immigration draw, selecting candidates through both the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program and the Atlantic Immigration Program.

June 10 draw results

The June 10 draw was Newfoundland and Labrador’s seventh provincial immigration draw of 2026 and the first draw held by the province in June.

A total of 108 invitations were issued:

Program Invitations issued
Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program 89
Atlantic Immigration Program 19

Most invitations went to NLPNP candidates, who received 82.4% of invitations in this round. The province did not specify which NLPNP streams were used, nor did it identify the occupations or sectors targeted.

The draw slightly increased from the previous round on May 28, when 103 invitations were issued. This broke the province’s 2026 pattern of progressively lower invitation totals.

How candidates can be considered

Candidates seeking consideration through the NLPNP or AIP must first submit an Expression of Interest to Newfoundland and Labrador.

A valid job offer from an employer in the province is required before submitting an EOI under either program, except for applicants applying through NLPNP entrepreneur-focused streams.

The EOI includes information such as:

  • occupation;
  • education;
  • language proficiency;
  • intent to settle in Newfoundland and Labrador.

EOIs are reviewed by the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism. If selected in a draw, the candidate must respond within 60 days by submitting an application for provincial nomination or endorsement.

AIP applications are submitted by the employer. NLPNP applications are submitted by the candidate.

EOIs are valid for 12 months. Candidates who are not invited before their EOI expires must submit a new EOI to remain under consideration.

Possible prioritization factors

The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism may prioritize candidates who meet certain criteria, including:

  • working in healthcare occupations;
  • being employed outside major urban centres;
  • having strong prospects for long-term settlement;
  • having ties to the province through graduation from a local post-secondary institution.

A full breakdown of the province’s EOI prioritization criteria is available on the OIM’s official webpage.

Permanent residence after nomination or endorsement

After receiving a certificate of nomination or an AIP endorsement, the candidate can apply to the federal government for permanent residence.

Current processing times listed in the source article are:

Application type Processing time
Base PNP 13 months
Enhanced PNP 6 months
Atlantic Immigration Program 26 months

If the federal application is successful, the applicant receives confirmation of permanent residence.
