On July 30 2026 the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) released 766 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in its 276th Expression of Interest (EOI) draw. The invitations were heavily weighted toward candidates already residing in Manitoba and targeted workers in transportation, utilities, and manufacturing sectors.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba
The 696 invitations under this pathway fell into three selection categories:
-
Employment in a qualifying NOC code – candidates living in Manitoba who were working in one of seven specified occupations:
- Aerospace Engineers (NOC 21390)
- Air pilots, flight engineers and flying instructors (NOC 72600)
- Aircraft Assemblers and Aircraft Assembly Inspectors (NOC 93200)
- Aircraft Instrument, Electrical and Avionics Mechanics, Technicians and Inspectors (NOC 22313)
- Aircraft Mechanics and Aircraft Inspectors (NOC 72404)
- Facility operation and maintenance managers (NOC 70012)
- General practitioners and family physicians (NOC 31102)
-
Employment in a manufacturing/utilities occupation – candidates employed in Manitoba under occupations classified in Broad Occupational Category 9 of the NOC, which includes middle‑management, supervisory, production and labour roles in manufacturing, processing and utilities. The five major groups within this category are:
- Central control and process operators / aircraft assembly assemblers and inspectors (code 93)
- Labourers in processing, manufacturing and utilities (code 95)
- Machine operators, assemblers and inspectors in processing, manufacturing and printing (code 94)
- Middle‑management occupations in manufacturing and utilities (code 90)
- Processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and utilities operators/controllers (code 92)
-
Francophones – candidates who indicated French as their language of communication with Manitoba and provided valid French‑language test results.
Skilled Worker Stream (strategic recruitment)
This stream drew from both the Manitoba‑based and overseas Skilled Worker pathways. Eligibility required a declaration of participation in a strategic recruitment initiative or the now‑expired Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Candidates (TPP). The 70 LAAs were allocated as follows:
- Francophone Community – 25
- Employer Services – 20
- Ethnocultural Communities – 12
- Temporary Public Policy – 7
- Regional Communities – 6
Common reasons for exclusion
Even when a profile appears to meet the selection criteria, an LAA may not be issued if:
- The language‑test identification number is missing, invalid, or the test results have expired as of the draw date.
- The profile lists participation in a strategic recruitment initiative but does not include a valid invitation number.
Cumulative draw statistics
Since the program began, Manitoba has conducted 15 selection rounds, issuing a total of 4,822 invitations to date.
Prospective applicants should verify that all language‑test documentation is current and that any strategic‑recruitment invitation numbers are correctly entered in their EOI to avoid disqualification.
