Alberta invites workers in agriculture and construction to apply for provincial nomination

Alberta’s immigration program issued 82 invitations for provincial nomination in two Express Entry draws held between July 16 and July 21, 2026, targeting workers in the province’s priority sectors of agriculture and construction.

Construction invitations accounted for 64.6 % of the total. Both draws set the highest cut‑off scores recorded for their respective draw types in 2026.

  • The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has conducted 64 draws this year, including five targeted draws for construction workers and four for agriculture workers.
  • As of July 30 2026, the province has invited 10,828 candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
