British Columbia held a new Entrepreneur Immigration draw on June 30, issuing invitations through both entrepreneur pathways under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. The draw targeted entrepreneurs planning to launch a new business or acquire and grow an existing business in the province.
June 30 draw results
The June 30 selection round was British Columbia’s seventh entrepreneur-focused draw of 2026.
Invitations were issued across both Entrepreneur Immigration streams:
| Stream | Minimum score | Invitations issued |
|---|---|---|
| Base Stream | 118 | 14 |
| Regional Stream | 113 | 5 |
British Columbia prioritized Base Stream candidates in this round, issuing 14 invitations under that stream compared with 5 under the Regional Stream.
The June 30 round was the province’s second Entrepreneur Immigration selection of the month. This broke from the earlier 2026 pattern of holding one entrepreneur draw per month.
Except for the February 10 draw, the June 30 selection round produced both the highest Base Stream cutoff and the lowest Regional Stream cutoff recorded so far in 2026.
Across 2026, British Columbia has held 12 Entrepreneur Immigration draws:
- 7 through the Base Stream;
- 5 through the Regional Stream.
Together, those draws produced at least 78 invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Base Stream and Regional Stream requirements
British Columbia’s entrepreneur category has two streams with different business, investment, ownership, and community requirements.

| Business type | Launch a new business or take over and grow an existing one | Launch a new business outside the Metro Vancouver Regional District |

| Minimum registration score | 115/200 | 105/200 |
| Co-applicant permitted in BCPNP registration | Yes | No |
If an applicant does not have a post-secondary credential, they must have spent at least three of the past five years as an active business owner-manager with full ownership of the business.
Pathway to permanent residence
The process toward permanent residence is broadly similar under both entrepreneur streams, but the Regional Stream adds two requirements at the beginning: selecting a participating community and completing an exploratory visit to request a referral.
The general process is:
- find a participating community suited to the business, for Regional Stream applicants;
- conduct an exploratory visit and request a referral from the chosen community, for Regional Stream applicants;
- develop a business proposal;
- register with the BCPNP and receive a score based on human capital and economic factors;
- wait for an invitation to apply in a future draw;
- submit a nomination application within four months of receiving an invitation;
- if successful, apply for a federal work permit;
- establish and operate the business in British Columbia;
- receive a nomination for permanent residence if program conditions are met.
After receiving a provincial nomination, candidates may apply directly to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for permanent residence.
