Manitoba selects 600 tradespeople and transportation workers for provincial track to permanent residence

On August 27 the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 741 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination, giving recipients up to 60 days to submit a complete application. Successful nominees can obtain a work‑permit support letter for a federal work permit and, after filing a permanent‑residence application, may be eligible for a bridging open work permit.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba

  • Major group 72: Covers eight sub‑major groups of technical trades and transportation officers/controllers. The province invited 600 candidates based on employment in this group, accounting for 89.3 % of all invitations.

21 French‑speaking candidates were invited. Eligibility required:
